Can anyone help me i need to know how to fit theses spacers on my t2.any mods required or not

There was a down load about it, but been lost in time, which is a shame as it went into great detail with pic's.
Terranosarus as done one on his old Mav, he can tell you all about it.:thumb2

I thought I wanted a body lift too:augie but now I've seen the light:D
Unless you want to run 35" plus tyres there's no point.
You'll just get massive body roll.
I'm running 32s now but there's plenty of room for 33s(next on list):Dand still have FULL articulation.

i've taken front and rear anti-roll bars off anyway.i only use it for off roading.
I want to lift it cos the rear tyres catch the seatbelt bolts when banking over so gonig to do a body lift and suspension lift
 
Whack some spacers on then or a diff. offset wheel.

You should have no probs with 31s
Do the suspension lift first. Take the rear seat belt bolt out and put a shorter one in.
Sorted.

it also rubs the inner arches so i want to raise it 3 1/2 inches if i can
 
what do you hope to gain from body lift ?

im on 35's and no body lift. ok body lift would have made it easier but really not need up to 33's

body lift will just raise centre of gravity
 
I think you'd be better off changing your wheels for a diff. offset. I'm on 265/75/16s and 2" suspension lift. No probs and there 's room for 33s before cutting reqd.
You wont get any better ground clearance.
So sort the wheels as they're easy and plenty on the bay.
So you could say I've got 3 1/2" lift over standard anyway.

Keep your tyres just change the wheels.
Body lift is about 80 squid sure, but what a hassle to do and end up with a less stable beastie off road! I know having er rolled mine:augie
I'll sell you some tidy alloys for 80 squid;)

wheels cost £31 from ebay
LWB springs £40 from here
tyres were £300 but they needed replacing anyway

get a decent offset wheels or spacers or your gonna be pissing about for ever.
, having wheels that close together has to affect stability
 
hey its your build but id go for the bigger offset wheels. but by the sounds of it you have wheel problems already, i suspect you have the wrong wheels on anyway from another truck like a trooper. or the bushes are gone in the back and its all moving about. but its likely the wheels

but if you changed the rims wheels you will be much more stable off road and its cheep

but its up to you its how you want it, i was told body lift and just didnt want one so i cut the car. maybe stuborn or had to prove a point or just knew what i wanted , but i understand if its a body lift then body lift it....

but it involves cutting and welding the rad mounts etc

where can i get some offset rims from?

No it doesn't.

But it does mean making up new brackets for the bumpers and lengthening the fuel filler pipe and breather.

Sounds like greasemonkey has got the same problems as me - its what happens when you have lots of flex. Am also considering a bodylift - going to get a batch of 50 or 100 bolts costed up tomorrow - spacers are no problem, already sorted what I'm doing there. All being well kits available soon.

Oh and inch for inch a body lift is way more stable - think about it - wheres the weight??
 
how much are they are they 15"

makeitfit has some alloys at 80.00 or pm me your post code ill find you some to watch on ebay local to you cheep and easy fix


my lift is 3.5 on the wheels + 2" on the springs and squeezed a little elsewhere and so i have roughly 6 inch lift

and its mostly actual lift where it matters on the diffs

i can get pics of mods needed to body lift if you like, but its work


pete puts his to the limit and if lifted it would roll

1 inch out on the wheels is 2" wider its a fact wider is better than higher . you cant argue with gravity
