Hi All

Firstly, I have once again shown my engineering lack of confidence and knowledge.

Everything you guys said about my clutch fluid leek was 100% correct. All the garage has done is removed the leaking flexi and blocked the hole with a nut. So, this goes to prove you are all genius lol. One day I will gain the confidence to have done this myself.

But she needed to be garaged anyway as the last stamped service was at 37,500 miles and she has now done 112,870 miles rofl, so she has had a full service with extra's. I know that it may have been serviced by the owners but still nice to see it in the book.

She's had:-

-Oil filter changed
-Fuel filer changed
-Fuel treatment
-Clutch fluid flushed and refilled
-Oil changed
-Engine flushed
-Diff oils changed, both front and rear (yes I made sure they used proper LSD oil)
-Brakes checked and cleaned

Just driven her for about 10 miles and already the difference is massive, she must have seriously needed it. Quieter, smoother and more pokey.

Going forward, I will of course start to service her on my own, but for now at least I know its done properly and everything done at this mileage.

Now a happy T2 owner again lol.

well done mate, I guess you mean they removed the balance pipe that goes to the rear, My Mk 2 does not have this anyway, and I could never see its purpose, still nice to know that all the fluids are up to scratch etc, Rick

nice one Gav, good to hear, im planning to do the same myself this year so its nice to read that its made such a difference!:thumb2
