It's the back one gearbox side, it looks like it could be the seal looks as if the leak is coming from between the gearbox and the engine (clutch area), although it's low mileage I don't think the last owners took that good care of it service wise, it did not come with any history as such

It was a cheap £20 one so might be inaccurate, could be a 100psi out maybe, at least the figures are all a like there is no massive difference with them so i think it's looking good but not looking forward to changing the crank seal if it still leaks!

Thanks I will look into that when I put the turbo on might have success with it as at the moment there is no air flow. I have done the compression test and the results are starting from bulk head- 520, 520, 520, 540, is this right for this engine, cheers

There is a couple on ebay but they don't match my part no. but say they are for the 2.7tdi I gave it a clean with carb cleaner but not much joy slightly better but still faulty. I'm kicking myself a bit as I have scrapped a few terranos in last ten years and never removed many parts off them...
