Correct it is a double overhead cam and 16 valves, so guess it wouldn't be a simple job either way?

This is a pic of mine that uses a cast elbow. Pipe work is stainless 3" bore with one centre box. It has a flex joint just below the elbow.

No sold the 3.0 Terrano to get the Y61 shorty. Just fancied something a bit different, but they are like chalk and cheese performance wise. I'm still trying to get used to the Y61 as the 3.0 had so much torque in comparison to the 2.8 and when fitted in the Terrano which is a much lighter truck...

Probably or ECU programming. I,ve never heard of a re-map for this engine, if you find where it can be done I might be interested too. Check the Aussie web forums for this subject as its a known issue with the Y61 2.8, some just advise putting a sponge between your foot and pedal to dampen out...

Hi, Newbie from North West England with Trol. Swapped 3.0 05 T2 for a 2.8 SWB Y61. Did I do the right thing? Jury still out on that. Bit of a Trol family really...eldest son has SWB 2.8 Y61, youngest son got a SWB 2.8 Y60. Will post some pictures when I get them together.
