    Heating stored water

Submersible pumps don't tend to generate a lot of pressure so a 12 volt Flojet /Shurflo pump as used in caravans and motor homes would be best. They also have a pressure switch so pump will stop start when you open and close the tap.

    "Living" with prostate cancer.

Thanks for posting your story Rustic. The more information people get the more they learn and hopefully act on. I feel it sinks in more when it comes from a personnel experience told in layman's terms rather than from a medical expert in technical terms. I have a very good friend who has worked...

    anyone experience with recovery boards?

I remember seeing these exhaust bag lifts years ago. If they work (?) they look like the easiest option. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqBQ8q2mxuY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmzMx9_TkaU

    Engine mounts

I have just changed my drivers side mount. Found it easier to get at after sliding power steering fluid reservoir off the bracket and putting it to one side.Don't need to empty or remove pipe but make sure you keep it upright as I had some leakage out the lid. Also moved plastic water tank out of...

Staying in the EU for the Free Market is supposed to be better for trade. Doesn't look like it works that way for for the Spanish.

    Clutch change

Last clutch i did was on sons Civic. Just measure hole in flywheel and clutch plate.Used a piece of 15mm copper tube that fitted in the plate hole and then wrapped electric insulation tape around it to make it up to the bore size of the clutch plate. This has always worked for me.

    Has anyone used Febest?

I bought engine mounts from them but I have not fitted them as my truck has been off the road with gearbox out. I purchased them on their Ebay or Amazon shop. They came from a factory in eastern Europe. Took 10 days to get here. They are packaged in Febest branded boxes but the mounts themselves...

    Gbox oil

Bronze is too soft for rollers or balls in a bearing. Ball & roller bearings are made from hardened chrome steel.

    Gbox oil

Thats a good explanation but having recently stripped and rebuilt my gearbox I didn't notice any bronze bushes. The bearings on the shafts and gears were either ball, roller or needle roller. I thought the oil type may be due to the baulk rings which are made from brass (but I think they are...

    gearbox storage

If he has just the gearbox without the transfer box then the oil would leak out as the shaft seal is part of the transfer box. I have just rebuilt my gearbox and Rick is correct. If you want to replace the input shaft bearing its a full strip down. £130.00 for a set of bearings, seal & gasket...
