Thanks for your reply. I don't have the time, or a repair manual, at the moment but may be able to do it in a month or so. i am still driving the car as I believe the front axle only rotates in 4WD or if the hubs are locked. The oil leak is not severe but I don't want the hub grease washed...

Hi Does anyone know a good garage in the North London/Herts area with experience of fixing Patrols? My offside front axle seal has gone and I think the swivel bearings need doing too. It is an 04 Y61. Once done I hope to get it out on the lanes. Thanks Richard.

Hi all I am the new owner of a 2004 Y61 SVE in the Potters Bar area Hertfordshire. When I returned from a drive on Saturday I noticed a dark patch on the drive. There is oil dripping from the drivers side swivel onto the tyre, so assume that the axle oil seal has failed. Can I continue...
