same fault came back on next day. but i have sorted at long last, it was injector timing solenoid valve, swapped sensor fine now.i think it was filter blocked on sensor causing problem. many thanks Dave

went to manchester airport discounted battery for 2weeks i did not want flat battery reconnected battery drove home 140 mile car ran perfect and been ok since could ecu be the problem ?

Checked code still 21, filled with diesel makes fault worse. I think may need to change injector pump next ?

fitted no1 injector also crank sensor still same fault.

road tested vehicle after 30 mile came back into town started to diesel knock light came back on.I will get another injector next week

Removed intercooler stripped injector no1 found large lump of grit inside injector rebuilt road tested appox25miles no problem will take for large road test on Saturday.

Checked found 112 ohms at injector .checked fault codes with scanner p1246 can it be needle that is sticking in injector. Thanks for help

hi all my terrano 2000 2.7tdi run fine,until warm, engine light comes on and starts diesel knock,loss of power checked fault code comes up with 21 sometimes clears if ignition switched on and off. any ideas thanks

terrano 2.7tdi runs ok on diesel. when I run it on wvo it will not rev over 2.500rpm and engine light comes on. mini filter clean also fuel filter ok. used fuel can direct to fuel pump with wvo still same problem.Do you think it is a faulty fuel pump ? running 50/50wvo now but would run ok on...

All sorted removed pipe to pump, then removed union that banjo screws into,found that union wasn't very tight.Retightend union rebuilt seems ok now thanks for all your help Dave:

if i place can of fuel direct to fuel pump ,leave can under bonnet its ok .use long pipe to rear not enough suction its 2001 2.7 tdi

fuel pump not sucking enough fuel. cleaned mini filter.i think fuel pump must be weak any ideas ?
