does anyone know how to check the timing of the injector pump and to test the correct setting for the turbo?

Ok everyone thanks... ive got a new stat so will fit tommorow..as temp not coming of cold .... does anyone know how to check the timing of the injector pump and to test the correct setting for the turbo?

i,ll check the fan in the morning...i would of thought if there was an air block it would do the oppposite and overheat...? both the rad pipes feel slightly warm and the heater feels just the warm side of cold....even after driving or idling for 30 mins....the coolant is luke warm too....all the...

can anyone help please. engine always runs very cold on very bottom of gauge...gauge working ok... heater cold as result.....even after hours of driving... prevoiusly engine was getting very hot just below red if went over 50mph...flushed rad now dosent get at all.... engine performs ok...

thanks everyone..fitted new manual hubs from milners this morning..all is now perfect..

AHA..FITTED MINE TODAY....all is now well ,after i got stuck on top off beachy head a few days ago!

wish it did....it sais about reversing a metre to disengage them in the handbook and on the sunvisor...so i guess theyre auto...dont know what else it could be if they are permanent...

can anyone tell me if i can fit manual front hubs on my tdi 1998 as the auto ones dont seem to work...went out in the snow tonight and got stuck on top of beachy head..front wheels not spining on ice,mud or anything....rather fit manual ones... milners ones they list as only fitting up to 1996...

ok thanks..ther glow plug light is now ok...low battery... but the water in the fuel light is still on despite no water coming out the drain plug even when its pumped and the car runs fine...

can anyone help....fuel filter warning lamp has come on suggesting water in the fuel...have opened the valve at the bottom of the filter housing but no water came out...also pumped the piston to no avail....engine starts and runs fine....undone connector of filter housing to loom and light goes...
