My navara engine was one of the first to have the mods.the bearings were aluminium/zinc. not lead /copper. mine were replaced lead copper.arp bolts were used.the engine block started its life as a petrol engine which nissan decided to change to diesel.the oil pick up is partly in the block there...

anyone know the bulb type for the rear tail light. i have to remove bumper/light guard to change light bulbs, so would be easier if i knew bulb type prior to removal.

Had this with my 96 terrano. the p/s fluid had gone a brownish red so drained off and renewed. been fine ever since

Well thankfully not the headgasket.twas a knackered rad cap the rubber seal up inside the cap had slipped off.bought a new genuine rad cap and no used a drop since.done 500 odd miles since inc 220 with caravan on the back.

Thanks all for hints and tips.im leaning towards headgasket. will try ricks test for bubbles first.then if inconclusive will go for a sniff test.nice and cold out there now for spannerin head.

not sure but may have a head gasket issue.lost water couple of times not overheated,new rad and hoses.though on 2nd top up top hose quite firm after couple of mins tick over. anyone done a head gasket on a 2.7 td (96). is it a pig of a job or straight forward. hints and tips welcome.

Glad the eye is improving.just got the old pipe off it was a struggle but nus came off ok.extension bar slipped off and chipped my tooth other than that its ok. just wondering if need to undo front orop and remove crossmember from gearbox.

Front pipe just snapped off at back of flexi joint.local tyre and exhaust want £120.can get one for £45. daughter supposed to be towing caravan to norfolk tomorrow so a case of dad can you fix it. anyone done one, whats it entail please.its a 96 2.7 td.

Could be the primer knackered.pump it with engine off if it stays soft when priming its dead.

The roof bars on my 96 are letting water in as they are slightly loose. anyone know how to remove please to re seal.
