    extreme sleepover

Looking good Extreme. Am I being a Muppet ? What does OSB stand for ? I'm looking at sorting the cargo area for our trip to France, with different sections for different things, and this sounds ideal. The load area is currently just one big space and a load guard. It would be nice to have a...

    Roof Rack...

Tezzer, I think that is possible, but I'm not sure how big the plate will have to be to provide a decent ground plain ? Was thinking of just getting a rack mount bracket. Lacroupade, we're off to a place called Faye d'Anjou, never been there before. Normally go to a Gite in Trevenec, near...

    Roof Rack...

The rack is not too heavy, as it is aluminium. The Maverick roof bars have a 75 kg sticker on them, and the rack has a 50 kg sticker on it. I won't be carrying anything heavy with it, just light / bulky items on holiday. I'm toying with the idea of using it to carry the kids bikes instead of...

    Freebie Service...

I've never been one to upset people unneccessarily, so it would have been rood not to accept ! :) They did a VSR, (Vehicle Safety Report), and came up with a couple of things that will need doing for the upcoming MoT, but I didn't want to push my luck ! :naughty Lee.

That is the bonus of owning the Mav over my last, (of a few) Discovery. I actually drive this instead of fixing it all of the time ! :lol Lee. (Note "Discovery Owners Club" triangle stickers in front and rear windows, a top bunch of lads and lasses !)

    Freebie Service...

I was at my Brothers in Warwickshire last week. He works for a main dealer of a large Japanese car manufacturer, and offered to have his Technicians do a service on my Mav, so naturally I graciously accepted. All I had to do was provide the filters. Here's what they did... Replace engine oil...

    Roof Rack...

Have been keeping my eye on Eblag for roof bars or a roof rack to allow fitment of some high level lights. Won the rack below for £41.00. The guy had taken it off his girlfriends Mazda Bongo and is probably as big as is sensible. I fitted it with some UniStrut, some spare clamps off my works...

Question for those with pre-face lift cars

Had mine serviced over the weekend, the oil we took out of both boxes was ATF. According to the Shell spec sheets, this is the correct oil and what we put back in. Lee.

    Breathers !

I've just got the fitting left, with no pipe work attached. The flexi pipe to the solid pipe was cable tied up out of the way. The fitting comes out with a 12mm ring spanner. I was going to replace all 4 fittings with right angle breather fittings, and then run plastic extended pipes. My brother...

    Breathers !

Does anyone know what the thread size is for the rear axle breather fitting ? Was having a service done over the weekend, and the previous "moaner" must have sheared off the pipe from the fitting. :doh Are all of the breather fittings the same ? I'm thinking of replacing them all, and running...
