thanks for coming back jim. the remote fob has never worked, we've always used the key in the drivers door to operate the central locking. it's just recently that the central locking has started playing up, ie. not working with the key in the lock. my biggest worry is that we accidently close...

i've got a 1998 terrano II and the central locking is mad. the fob has never worked but that's ok. we used to be able to lock and unlock just with the key. now, we can only unlock the drivers door, then turn the ignition on (with high pitch buzz) then manually unlock the front passenger door...
