I have an in-line pump I bought off eBay. So its the top pipe?

Ok a real newbie question but I want to drain some fuel out of my 03 Terrano. Can anyone tell me which pipe on the filter is the in pipe? the one nearest the bulk head or the one closest to the front of the car? Thanks in advance

Wow thanks for all the replies. OK maybe a daft question but say cost was no issue (It is though believe me) but if it wasn't is there an off the shelf kit you can buy anywhere that offer a bolt on option including new auto hubs? Also I guess these from milner will go straight on...
