    T2 battery flat - now won't start

Just back from daughters house - used fully charged battery which at first gave a reasonable turnover speed but after a few goes the turnover rate declined. Also connected via jumpers to my van but same effect. Looks like the starter motor or connections to it may be suspect. Many thanks for...

    T2 battery flat - now won't start

Heater light on dash stays on for about 5 secs then goes out. Turns over quite quickly but am worried I'll flatten the battery again. Am I barking up the wrong path re the immobilizer? (Second key is u/s - am waiting to solder on two new buttons)

    T2 battery flat - now won't start

Can anyone help? - Daughter flattened battery whilst trying to start. Took battery out and is now fully charged but vehicle will turn but won't start. Am I correct in thinking the immobilizer has locked and won't allow the car to start? (had a similar problem with a Clio) If so will the Clio fix...

    Terrano 2.7se Loss of drive

Removed the rear ns drum and found the friction pad from one of the shoes had become detached. This happened to me once before with a Ka - thought this was quite rare, but obviously not.

    Terrano 2.7se Loss of drive

Jacked it up and found that the rear nearside wheel is locked solid.

    Terrano 2.7se Loss of drive

Thanks for taking the time to reply Toolbox. I'll try and sort it out at the weekend. Hopefully it will be something simple. I'm worried that something expensive has gone wrong.

    Terrano 2.7se Loss of drive

Thanks a lot - I've taken the autohub off. Do I need a special tool to get the innerds out? Just found the Workshop download for this - cant see how the circlip works - I'll degrease it and have a better look.

Thanks Toolbox. Is it OK for me to drive the vehicle with the autohubs removed until I get manual ones?

    Terrano 2.7se Loss of drive

My daughter reported that her Terrano 2.7se 2000 was playing up. She said it seemed as if it had no power although the engine seemed fine. Also said she smelled burning like rubber. Took the car for a drive and same thing happened. Seems to be a problem with the front nearside. Seemed as if the...

    ABS problem

Clunking in drivers foot well area now sorted out. Removed the drivers seat and found a large metal rod/pin rolling about in a void beneath the seat - must have been put under the seat by previous owner and rolled into the little void - rolling backwards and forwards on acceleration/braking. Car...

    ABS problem

OK - finally sorted it out - as suspected from the diagnostic machine, it was the front nearside sensor. Glad its now sorted - now just have to sort out the clunking from the drivers foot well area and the clicking clutch pedal.

    ABS problem

Latest info is it appears to be a fault with the front nearside wheel sensor. Does anyone have any idea where I could pick one up at a better price than I'm being quoted? (£200) Its a 2000 LWB Terrano 2.7se Thanks

    ABS problem

OK heres an update. Checked the abs rings on the front and they are fine. Have discovered that the abs problem only happens when in two wheel drive. In four wheel drive its fine. Anybody any ideas? (ABS warning light is still off)

    ABS problem

Heres an update - perhaps someone might know what I should try next. I've checked all four wheel sensors for resistance and they are all fine. Also checked them for voltage when the wheel is turned and all are giving out readings. The front two give out higher readings than the rear two - I...

    ABS problem

Had the Terrano put on the diagnostic computer today and no faults were registered. The ABS is still acting up big time, and to be honest its too dangerous to drive with the ABS the way it is.

    ABS problem

As an addition to the above, I reconnected the drivers side ABS sensor and the problem returned. Keeping the drivers side connected, I then disconnected the front passenger side sensor and the problem has gone away. This one has got me pulling whats left of my hair out.

    ABS problem

My daughters 2000 manual LWB Terrano has been giving problems recently. When braking the ABS is activating and the brake pedal is doing the usual hissing/juddering. (The ABS warning light comes on at switch on then goes off) I've checked the other posts out re sensors and would like some advice...
