Hi Slug To be honest I would not use socks, I have tried them last year. On fresh snow they did the job, it's when the snow gets compact and when you get ice mixed in, thats when they will let you down.The sock I tried fell apart after the ice shreded them,So chains for me this year !! :thumbs
