thinking of getting one of these for the mrs!

I think they suffered with elec gremlins, but neighbour of mine ran one to lunar mileage with no big issues. For the money they are a bit of a good find. Think Mike Brewer ran one on one of the series of Wheeler Dealers too - bit of useless info :lol

If you want merc engine and gearbox for a fraction of the price, consider a Rexton.

Not exactly new, but a BIG thank you

Ok, would like to say a BIG thankyou to all that have helped me over the last few weeks especially Rustic, Timbo 1975, Rayf3262, Clivvy, Jims-Terrano, Adz, Terranoman, Solarman216 & Briggie. (If I have missed anyone I apologise!). Finally came to the end of the road with the terrano after the...

    Starter Motor

I was under the impression that the bell housing could be removed and then fitted to the new starter? Thought it was this one unit: Bottom of the page on this link: http://www.milneroffroad.com/categories.asp?cid=12399

    Starter Motor

Exactly what mine has been doing, hard to crank over (lazy) at times and really easy at others! Mine has the bell housing.

    Starter Motor

Just an update, I think the starter may be knackered in the terrano! Sometimes - after the alternator problem fix - it fires no problem, but sometimes its a bit hesitant and sometimes I get a graunching noise as it turns and fires up. I take it this is the starter showing reluctant signs of...

    Starting problem

The plug connector that you need to short may be tucked behind the fuse panel in the car, get you head down there and you will find it quick enough though. Turn IGN on, NOT engine Bridge top right 2 pins Disconnect the link Then just look at the engine management light and read away. Long...
