    Maybe a Serious Problem?

There was nothing while driving forward, only in reverse but i felt it right away. Funnily i just had to put on the spare tire which is a quite different pattern than the left tire. Is this bad Rick? Cheers, Lars

    Maybe a Serious Problem?

Will try and find a link in English. It NISSAN 80/90 differential oil(gery bottles) but as i wrote it's written on it "Not for use when Genuine LSD oil is required". The guy where i order part(Exist.ru) looked into the date base for oils and came up with this. I have been driving only 55 km...

    Maybe a Serious Problem?

Hello Guys :thumb2 1999 Terrano 2 TDI 160.000 km, in my possession since 120.000 km. Never any issues. So.... My speedo cable on the transfer box started leaking so i changed it. When i drained the Transfer box i could see there was not too much oil left. 1 liter or so. There was quite some...

    Important! Clutch Slave Cylinder

Hello Guys :thumb2 During inspection and bleeding of the clutch hydraulic line, i found out the slave cylinder(on the clutch housing) piston operating the lever seems to be very loose. No leaks. Is that normal? I have to do a 2X 800km trip very soon so nice to know :) Thank you for your time...

    Rear hubs

Hello guys :) Changing rear brake shoes at the moment. I was thinking if i need to pack the rear hubs with grease or what? On the rear wheel hubs there are small holes in the caps and on the left some grease or so have been leaking a bit. How do i get those caps off? In advance thank you for...

    Rear brake adjustment

Thank you very much guys :) I much appreciate it. Solarman: I'm sorry i forgot that. It's 1999 and looking at the adjusters i suspect they are rather useless :) I of course appreciate your time as well. I might have even bigger problems with the vehicle but let's see tomorrow. Cheers, Lars

    Rear brake adjustment

Hello guys, I am changing shoes on the rear but have problems with correct adjustment. In the workshop manual is written to "Shorten adjuster by rotating it, so that shoe outer diameter is 279 - 279.5 mm (10.98 - 11 in)." Shorten? The drum diameter is about 250mm. Can anybody give me a hint on...

    Transfer Box Oil GL4/GL5/TM-1

Thanks for the answer Rick. Allow me to ask a question here:) It looks to me that in your text you start with saying AT oil in the transfer box and in the end you write that i can use both GL4 and GL5 in the transfer box? Cheers!

    Transfer Box Oil GL4/GL5/TM-1

The workshop manual say you can fill either dexron AT oil or "normal" gear oil in the transfer. Just don't mix them:) I'm still a bit nervous about the GL4 and GL5 specs appear in the same oil, but the dealer looked in the Nissan catalogue and came up with this oil. Thanks for your time and...

    Transfer Box Oil GL4/GL5/TM-1

Thanks :) 75/90 should be better in colder climate i have read here. The maybe strange thing with the oil i got is that is says both GL4 and GL5 and GL5 should be bad for the bearings. Confused LOL Cheers

    Transfer Box Oil GL4/GL5/TM-1

Hello guys :thumb2 Critical question here. My speedo cable in the transfer box is leaking so i will change the oil in the transfer box. Have no idea what is in it. I got some Mobil Mobilube SHC1 but the specs/API says GL4/GL5/TM-1. Can i use this oil? GL5 should net be good for the copper in...
