I don't know but apparently he had to get someone round with a laptop to check it, Apparently it was a cheap code reader, i've taken a picture of what info he's sent me but i don't know how to add it to the thread, sounds like there's a fair possibility he's got the wrong part listed.

He was going in a straight line when the fault happened and he said he heard a clicking from the rear somewhere.

The seller said there were noises coming from the rear diff area but my mate couldn't make it do it on the test drive, he took it up to 60mph, maybe he can find someone local to take a look as the mechanic he's using is forty minutes away.

Maybe he can get the pump reconditioned, looks to be around £600 someone said, he does want to get both repaired if possible, It was the rear wheel so a diff oil change is a good start, he said earlier he smelt burnt gear oil at the time.

Maybe a secondhand pump then.

Agreed if any comes, hopefully he's not being fleeced.

Apparently they rang the Nissan dealer and there is such a part although my friend may have got its name wrong i suppose, its on the diesel pump or somewhere near the bottom of the engine.

I don't have that info sorry.

Thanks Rick, it was serviced about four to six weeks ago and has been running fine up until that day, "apparently" the mechanic squirted diesel somewhere into the intake and it started fine until it ran out of fuel again.
