You could be right as it is tapered, strange I don't have any gear selection problems though & the box is so quiet and smooth!

If it was a lwb I'd've been tempted, but for now i'll stick with my tranny.

I use my 3.0 for towing a boat, the extra horses come in very handy! Fuel consumption is a little better than the 2.7. A friend has a 98 2.7 which runs very well but seems a bit agricultural compared to the 3.0. All in all both good cars....

Hi, It was the lower area mostly, ok around the plug though. Even though yours may be good make sure it stays that way, give it a coat of paint in that area.

Sump rot Well sump all welded up, start the refit tomorrow but unsure of what gasket sealant to use? I have used off the shelf gasket goo on sumps in the past and had no issues so why would this sump be any different to the others?. I have a unopened V-tech Vital Black RTV silicone gasket maker...
