Sorry couldnt see how to edit my post however I've ben and measured the treads - a good 8mm all round. If you wanted the tyres, I'd throw in the front pair as well for free, they have about 6mm of tread on them

My 99 plate T2 is now a cat C write off. Not too much damage to it, mainly cosmetic apart from the inner bumber. Can anyone tell me if the inner bumpers are the same between Terranos and Mavericks and did they change when they did the facelift in 99/2000? Cheers John

Well tried to do this on Saturday. I cant get the Rocker cover off, seems well glued in place (and I had removed all of the bolts). Tried a little light levering however looked like I was just going to damage the edge of the cover. Any suggestions ?

I'm hoping to check and adjust my valve clearences on Saturday. This might be a daft question however, how do I tell when the engine is at top dead centre? Will the download in the links section work with my 99 T2 2.7 TDI? Are the clearences the same?

I'm not sure they do have the same engine. I had to replace the engine in my T2 a few years ago and I found there were two types, one with a sensor on the bell housing and one without- I found out the expensive hard way, having bought the wrong one and having paid the garage to fit it.

My T2 does the same gravelly thing when I'm breaking, sometimes even on the road if its a bit wet. The light on the dash does not come on though.

Whats the actual fault that is being shown? I had a garage diagnose my 99 t2 last year with a CPS fault and couldnt find it to fix it. (using a plug in fault finder) When I read the fault code myself I couldnt find the CPS fault, it was a fault with the sensor on inector 1 (sorry cant remember...
