Good advice, Beaker. Seems that all T2 owners have to do this or get it done eventually. My local garage mentioned this as supplementary info on an MOT last year, mistaking them for 'corroded fuel pipes'. Had the clutch pipes removed back in the Summer.

I'd go with Matt's answer personally - I had a tiny hole in a fuel return pipe that connects the injectors and had the same problems with misfiring and blue smoke. Good news is that the injection return pipes are cheap to buy (get them from an Autoparts place). Hope this helps! It's worth a look...
