might sound daft but is your radio working.... as it is on the same circuit as some of the electronics, i had the same problem and found it was the ignition at fault, would start but would not rev, have not fixed mine yet but have found the nack to start it, mine starts by turning key on fully...

hi i let my fuel drop to empty once until the light came on... and it does work...filled the tank back up needle raised as normal...but the little light stayed on for a couple of annoying days. wont let it drop to the red anymore :)

thanks solarman, i presume that these little buttons can be seen from underneath looking at the back of the plate, are they metal? will take a look tomorrow and have a go, cant see them on the manual, my mav is a 2.7tdi non abs if that makes any difference, I have never attepted to bleed the...

thanks did that, and went for a drive, checked drums werent bound, and were burnt fingers on drum so loosened off as bit, but think problem is with cable on lever, cheers

wheel drums off and ajusted at the adjusters before mot, i loosend the cable right off before i adjusted, i thought it would be just adjusting at the hand brake lever again, or maybee not what do you think?

Hi all my mav passed its mot today :) with 3 advisory's 1. parking brake lever has little reserve travel 2. advise engine warning light 3. advise starting problems i geuss i have to look at these 1. i presume this means it goes up to far.... easy to adjust, no problems 2.warning light on dash...

wELL DONE, from memory its a small plastic plug just give it a turn when priming air will come out if there is any in the filter, close the valve and keep doing the same thing until fuel comes out of it, then all the air is purged, i buy filters from millners cheap enough if you buy other items...
