Regarding locking wheel nuts, as quite often i lose mine, a suitable 20m socket allied to a good big hammer will generally unlock them, though remembering where you put the correct key in the first place is generally accepted as a good thing.

Ok, the temptation got to much for me, my tdi is running on a diesel/acetone mix (250ml/60 litres) so far it feels smoother and seems to have more power. Of course this could be the placebo effect, so will be monitoring fuel compsumption for at least 3 tankfulls, if time permitsi will report...

Not any real idea on the td version, but on my tdi there is an unused oil pressure sensor with a spade connection, towards the front of the engine below turbo level. This has been commented on here previously, maybe worth a look and try it, see what happens?

Maybe just me, but i would not recommend, had my truck in, unable to find/fix the fault and ended up with extra damage. Possibly better with mail order repairs but i will not use him again.
