Hi Rustic, notice that you have Rossini discs, what do you think of them, I fitted them all round on the Probe, very impressed considering how ell priced they are! Right, back to thread, Saturday morning had a proper look, found bracket loose, when checking all other areas found exhaust...

The bracket looks ok, I think it is the u-bolt, I will replace that tomorrow with extra nuts. May go to dealer or exhaust centre for the bracket and keep it handy. Thanks again chaps

Very funny, but have you seen the price of colour ink cartridges? :smile: Just call it the perk of the job. For some reason our IT Dept linked me to a printer that does posters, so I could print out the hub guide on glossy paper that is 6ft x 5ft!! :lol: :lol: Very tempting :smile:

Had a quick check last night, wonderful stuff pouring with rain, but at least theres enough height to get under to keep relatively dry! Never had that luxury with the lowered Probe, just enough room to get the jack under. Anyway, couldn't see anything broken, but the u-bolt on exhaust front end...

Fingers crossed that the weather will remain dry, so I can get underneath after work tonight. At least I have a few things to look out for. Really appreciate all your suggestions and advice, goes to show that it was a tenner well spent. Thanks again. :smile:

how would I know Jim? - if tuck, wht is procedure to free it? is it to do with the 4 wheel drive? No indication that 4 wheel drive is engaged i.e no dash light on! Or is it a wheel off job? Cheers

Thanks for the prompt responses chaps. The noise is coming from the front end sounds like middle of the vehicle. I've checked the prop shaft that seems solid with no un-natural play in it. I haven't done the neutral thing, but have depressed the clutch in 4th & 5th the noise is still there...

Just had my ears syringed, hear everything now, even the nagging!! Also noticed a rattle it 4th\5th gear. Noise stops when vehicle stops i.e. at lights etc. I did have something very similar many years ago with 2.8i Capri, that time it was thrust bearing. Could it be the same problem with my...

Some of this sounds a tad complicated :? I would hope these things come complete with instructions for people like me! May take the cassette storage out and stick a bunch of flowers in there, the VW effect :smile:
