take inlet pipe from airfilter box to turbo off and put finger on impellor in turbo see if there is any play, if so bearing on way out and its taking the seal with it:( just had this on one of my cars, kept fooling myself it wasnt turbo...it was ended in a massive james bond type smoke screen...

been busy but finally got around to looking for the sensor. how can it sense the crank up there? the head looks square-ish with one wire coming out does that make it the longer or shorter one? thanks

thanks for the replies it has behaved its self since the cutting out episode, but i dont trust it so i shall investigate the sensor. just changed all the belts shame i didnt know about sensor before i could have done that at the same time:rolleyes: had lots of jap motors and people say parts...
