    Leaky sunroof

Hi, My sun roof leak stopped, when I cleaned out some mud that was in the bottom of both front wings. If you open the door and look through the gap you can see the bottom of the outer and inner wing, which in mine had about 3 inches of mud. There are drain holes in the wing that had become...

    Auto Gearbox

If you happy with your acceleration, given your towing, then its normal for the cars speed to catch up with the revs, obviously there will be more revs as you are towing and therefore it will take a bit longer to catch up. As lacroupade says how slow is slow. Are you happy solo.

    Auto Gearbox

Hi, its supposed to slip, I tow a caravan with an auto box and its the same. It takes a bit of getting used to as you have no direct drive/link to the wheels until the torque converter locks up when you are up to cruising speed.

    Gremlin! Seek & eliminate!

I'd see what voltage you have got comming out of the ignition switch, it still could be corroded contacts in the switch. I cant remember what colours wires go to it but if you have 5 volts on a cable with the ignition switch fully turned on then thats your problem.

    Gremlin! Seek & eliminate!

HI. No, its easy 30 min job. 4 screws to get steering column plastic cover off, then one cross head screw holds the switch onto the barrel, the screws a bit awkward as it faces almost towards you, so to undo unwind it towards the dash. I did it with a 1/4 drive ratchet and a screwdriver bit...

    Another Caravan question

I think it depend on how old the caravan is, if it has an alko chasis then its pretty much fully on or off. theres no ratchet to graduate the handbrake. I normally use a mover on mine but when I have pushed it and then apply the handbrake it applies violently

Hi, Also check all hoses, wires, condiuts etc. I found lots of wear marks, v type notches etc, my auto dipstick was wearing through the water hose that feeds the heater, several wear marks on small pipes that run under intercooler, diesel pipes rubbing against each other. I used tape, cable...

    Fuel Filter

Hi, I've just changed my fuel filter for the first time. As others have reported its very hard to undo the filter and I could not budge it, but instead of undoing the pipes and putting it in a vice, I managed just to turn the filter upside down and reattach it with the two mounting bolts. If you...

    Ignition Switch

Hi, I just thought I'd share my switch changing experience as it might be useful for others and the archives. The car would start only if you turned the key slowly; if you turned it fast you just heard a clunk. I thought that it was part of the nats security system taking time to register the...
