Do I unplug the MAF and connect the multimeter? Which pins do I connect too on the Hitachi MAF?

What would the MAF measurements be? I can test it very quickly and easily.

Rick, this is exactly the info I wanted. I can place my hand on the outlet of the turbo and it does not push my hand off in any way. I shall source a replacement and possibly a MAF and fit those. Anyone got either for sale?!

I'm running regular diesel only. Unplugging the MAf makes no difference. Mini-filter - is not there, I'm led to believe it's part of the banjo bolt. Fuel and air filters are relatively new. No force from the turbo when covered.

It revs up but slowly just like it drives, but if you cover the outlet of the turbo there is no force to move your hand. Is this normal? I had considered getting a replacement MAF too, but would like a second opinion. Have also changed vehicle details as it is a tdi, even tho it says to on the...

No power at all, all of the time. struggles to reverse into my driveway at times. Extremely sluggish, will not accelerate quickly, a snail would be faster. Only a bit of smoke at high revs.

Id rather have a second opinion on it, but I think it's the turbo that's causing all the issues. A turbo = forced induction and there is no forcing! Is there anyone near Burnley Lancashire or surrounding area that could come and have a look see?

Ok, got it in bits again. Turbo has pressure (fast air when uncovered) but does not push your hand away from the outlet. Have also disconnected the MAF and this has made no difference, no eml etc. Ideas please!!

My MAF is a Hitachi one. Had a bit of a fiddle today. Took the air pipes off the turbo, it spins for a second or 2 when the ignition is switched off, and slightly longer if the revs are up when switch off too. Took the intercooler off, couldn't see any damage and the connecting pipes are ok as...

I checked this and it wouldn't move. I guess this could be the issue then!?!?
