is it from the front or back of the car? Mine had a beeper connected to the towbar wiring something to do with trailer indicators. it had a dodgy connection and would randomly beep while i was driving around. took me ages to find it :doh but when I did find it, I amputated it :D

yep, it is definatly broken and the damper is internal plus the whole thing is welded into the coupling. so I need the whole thing, it is always stored with the handbrake off :) without the damper there is no control over the brakes which is a bit scary as when I brake gently with the car the...
