It's a hybrid Jim. Everything is gear driven except the cams which are driven via a chain off the injector pump.

Two 12v in series. I've got a very good voltage reducer for the stereo, CB and USB charge points. There's a factory reducer which feeds the 12v socket and I think the dials but it's too low capacity for a modern stereo. Lights, starter, alternator etc are all 24v. Starts great in the cold :thumb2

Also allows you to adjust for your steering wheel going out of alignment over time. Jay just confirming that damper doesn't look correct!

As others said, autobox oil level is checked with engine running and ideally warm although there is a cold mark on the dipstick. It's oil not water so the vibration from the engine has chuff all effect on reading the level (even from the mighty 4.2).

Have you checked your breather isn't blocked? If it is the axle could be pressurising just enough to blow the seals:nenau Have to say I've never had issue with Milner seals.

There's a few places on Ebay that do it. Just make sure to request your fob back is returned though (if you like the silver Nissan logo)

Send your key away to get the fob part reconditioned dude, I had both of mine done when I had the Y61. Will fix your button issues at least.

I would be surprised if Japan didn't run the full breadth of Y61 engine options tbh :nenau I'm sure I've seen imported TD42 Y61s that looked Jap spec (eg. no rear lights in bumper). I run a Jap import TD42 Y60 myself.

Unless you're wanting a backup start battery I wouldn't worry about cca as unless you absolutely have to you shouldn't use the winch without the engine running :nenau I always have the hand throttle set (gotta love an old Trol :D) when I'm winching to give the alternator a chance to match the...
