    Another tyre size question...

So really just cut it away? I couldn't see what it attached to and didn't know what was underneath it so wasn't dead keen on cutting it.

    Another tyre size question...

OK, I've lifted the front (which my Dad and I made much harder than it should be, somehow) and the front is now about 40mm/1.5inches higher than it was - I think we have run out of adjustment on the torsion bars, the next step would be re-indexing them, which I'd rather not do, if I can help it...

    Another tyre size question...

Yeah, I was looking at 235/75 on 16" wheels because I have a MKII. On 15" wheels, I've no idea. I was going to lift the front so it was levelish with the back, but definitely not higher. Does anyone know (I know, I'll find out tomorrow, it just my Dads helping me and I've told him its a nice...

    Another tyre size question...

Sorry I missed this question. I'm not really all that well up on tyres sizes (hence this thread) but looking around, 235/75/16 is a little smaller than what I have at about 30" diameter and 245/70/16 are a bit smaller again at about 29.5" overall diameter. But like I say, I'm not much of a tyre...

    Another tyre size question...

I put full lock on and it only seem to rub on the mud flap and front bumper. You can see the bit of bumper that's in the way in my picture, its pointing inbetween the G and R of Grabber on the side wall of the tyre. And he does prices for a set of 5, just phone him up or message through eBay...

    Another tyre size question...

So my new wheels and tyres turned up today, I threw one of the front ones on to check for size. It fits fine but rubs on both the mud guard and the underside of the bumper. These can be removed easily and once I do a front torsion bar lift, I'll be laughing. Heres a quick snap I took with my...

    Another tyre size question...

Righty then, I've just ordered 4 General Grabber AT2 (I'll just have to drive it off road more) 265/70/16 also with new rims from JCS Wheels and Tyres. I should get them on Monday and I'll see how well they fit and what (if any) mods I have to do then I'll post up some pictures to show off my...

    Another tyre size question...

Thats what I wanted to know, thanks for all the help everyone and sorry for the repetitive question. I've found some General Grabber UHP 265/70/16 at Tyredrive for £400 for 5 posted. I won't be doing lots of off-roading, so these seem about right for me.

    Another tyre size question...

Ah yes, its a suspension lift. And yes 265/70/16 do look like a much better option - thanks.

    Another tyre size question...

I've been playing with the kouki tyre calculator and its from that I guessed that 265/75/15 are about the overall size as 255/75/16. The tyresave calculator is pretty cool, so what I'm really asking here is what overall diameter that will fit on with a 2" lift. From what I've read on here 31"...

    Another tyre size question...

Right then, sorry to ask this, but I've searched and can't find the answer. I'm after some A/T tyres for my Terrano SWB with a 2" lift, but it has 16" wheels (everyone else seems to have 15", which is why I can't find the answer I think) What size will fit on? Everyone says 31/10.5/15 which are...

    Dials not working

Thanks again for all the responses, this is a great forum. The Terrano I was thinking about buying I'm going to leave, some parts of the sellers story don't add up; First it was a part-ex, now its his uncles he used to use for fishing at the weekend. Also the miles on the odometer are the same...

    Dials not working

Blimey, thats a very quick response - Thanks very much! So it might be as simple as not plugging the wires in after the dials have been taken out, or the unit itself could be broke? If so its a fairly simple fix - Thanks again. Also, I've searched for an answer to this and not found anything...

    Dials not working

Hi all, first post here - so be gentle. I have a chance to buy an X reg Terrano at a very good price, the problem is none of the dials are working; Speedo, rev counter, temp or fuel. Also the odometer isn't recording any new miles. Its done about 100,000 miles and was MOT'd in May, so they must...
