is a dti a specialist tool or is it available to buy

Whats a dti ? when I put my pump back on I timed it up without any special tools just by lining the marks up. I only ask a a local diesel company claim they are coded along with the ecu and key.

even when the car was revved up slightly and all other readings are steady the Maf still doing its own thing. Also why do they not have Cats or lambda's?

My maverick has been playing up a littlr lately and all suggested the MAF was the source, A local mechanic put a hand held scanner on the car earlier and the MAF was reading at anything from 1.20vdc upto 2.90vdc and was fluctuating whilst on tickover. Could this still be a possible problem?

you all reckon the best way would be tp take bolt out and have a look then?? and would I have to bleed the system again etc???

Well the MAF unit seems an obvious one so got a family member with a hand held comp so we are gonna take it for a run to see what figures come up and I am gonna sling a new airfilter in her too I reckon
