    3 litre nissan t2 mpg

I always work out my mpg figures by brimming the tank then when refilling noting the litres to re-brim the tank and the miles covered which I understand is the most accurate way to do it. Regularly get 35mpg, and the time I measured 37mpg was a drive between high wycombe and Anglesey mixed...

    3 litre nissan t2 mpg

Yeh he's on the mark, I average 30 round town and have recorded upto 37 on a sensible run - 35 at motorway speeds. That's a manual btw, I assume auto would be a bit lower.

    interior house doors!

Have done this: Tie a ratchet strap between the two handles above the back rear passenger doors and leave some slack. Put he doors in then tighten up the strap to pin the end of the doors on an angle against the roof above the front seats. I moved 4 doors at the same time this way. Simples

Fresh MOT and no advisories! :-)

Wow, thanks for the comprehensive guide to the history of land cruisers! Hadn't realised mpg dropped so much on LPG, that would go a long way to cancelling out the financial benefit of cheaper fuel. I think the sensible choice would probably be either the 4.2diesel Toyota or the 2.8diesel y61...

Fresh MOT and no advisories! :-)

Yeh I prefer the look of the trol too, but the idea of a v8 landcruiser and running on lpg (just to keep running costs almost sensible!) sounds almost too tempting!

Fresh MOT and no advisories! :-)

Well, picked the car up this evening, straight through the MOT and no advisories! So the question now is, is this the best time to consider changing to what I've always wanted - patrol or landcruiser? We don't do all the long journeys in the t2 any more , it gets used as my drive to work...

    terrano 2 v pathfinder v xtrail

With that sort of budget I would be looking for a post 2004 patrol to be honest. Facelift models look the business.

    Who does the car signage???

Cheers briggie! PM heading his way! I'm thinking the rear quarter windows and the boot window will make ideal advertising hoardings!

    Who does the car signage???

Hi all, I recall someone in the club had a business doing car stickers and signage - can someone point me in the right direction? My wife has just qualified as a hypnotherapist and set herself up in business and we'd like to get some free advertising on our car windows! I'd like to give our...

    Insurance

Yes admiral multicar do this as well, when we bought our Alfa before selling my wife's car they mirrored my 7yrs NCD onto the new car and we insured the 3 cars until we sold the other one, was really impressed they did this because quotes with 0yrs NCD are frightening!!

    17" AT Tyres ?

Yeh really struggling to find a set of general use ATs for less than the 500quid mark. Doesn't make sense to change the wheels just because the tyres are more expensive, got to be some out there....the search continues....

    17" AT Tyres ?

Yeh I'd be interested to know the answer to this as well. Love the 17"s but the price of ATs seems a lot higher than 15-16" and the range much more limited. Is anyone a member on a land rover forum who could ask this question? I'm sure some of the disco td5s had 235/65/17s so here might be some...

    any advice? jag xk8 convertible..

Update on the Nicosil liners, I was right, they were pre 2000 cars, and the problem was that the high sulphur petrol ate away at the liners, this became less of a problem after 2000 when sulphur content in petrol dropped, so even pre 2000 cars with Nicosil liners shouldn't deteriorate further...

    any advice? jag xk8 convertible..

Google Nicosil liners in the jag v8, pre 2000 I think it was (you will need to check the date), the petrol used to eat the liners and they changed them to stop the problem. I'll try to get you more info tomorrow, I have a jag v8 man at work who did a lot of research prior to buying his 4.0...

    T2 - what next?

I'd been trying to work out what the successor to the T2 could be for a while, Hyundai terrecan and Kia sorento stood out out as most similar to the no frills good value 4x4 capability of the t2, but can I also put forward the shogun Lwb? Prices seem to be coming down now and reliability ratings...
