    Back problems?

Thank you all for your experiences and advice. As much as spinal surgery scares me, I think I'm going to have to go with it. I can't hobble round for the rest of my life if there's a chance of sorting it out.

    Connection problem

Same problems here too. Put it down to flakey message board provision......

    Back problems?

Anyone else on here been a sufferer? I've always had problems since my teens..... Back in June I had pains in my right hip & a numb leg. Frequent trips to the quacks (like most blokes, I never seek medical help unless I need stitching up,a bone setting or something really hurts!). It turns out...

not too sure if this is classed as towing

Now... I love Allegros. My girlfriend at the time had an orange one (black vinyl roof) that we inherited from her Dad. It took us everywhere - touring trips to the Highlands, Lakes & back every weekend... Could fix it with a hammer. It looked immaculate to the end - but rust took its toll on tie...

weather claims its first victims on the road

Hate to say that I thought exactly the same thing Clive. I drove like a complete ar*e for several years after passing my test, thought i was a driving god, and was lucky never to have an accident or bump. I drove a lot of hot hatches too...... perhaps very lucky..... Reckon it takes a minimum...

    TYRES

You know what? It's not that live! I'd already been let down twice by another supplier. I tried Camskill because I'd heard recommendations on forums. Ordered last weekend & was dead chuffed - till I got an email on Monday saying they couldn't supply them. Phoned straight away, spoke to them...

    anyone tried Insas?

I was going to get a 4l Cherokee before I bought the Terrano but was a bit scared of the fuel consumption! Not that it really matters on a weekend & winter car.. You get a lot of metal for your money! Anyway.. I've had a caravan & a camper van. Universally hated then :-D ! ...and I don't...

    anyone tried Insas?

The Insa Rangers look a very similar pattern to BFG ATs (above) Hey, what's wrong with camper vans?!

    anyone tried Insas?

I had problems finding any reasonably priced all terain tyres anywhere. I suspect there's been a run on them what with all the snow. I ordered from a couple of well known online retailers who both phoned back to say they had no stock, switched tyre pattern with them, only to get further calls...

    anyone tried Insas?

I'm waiting for a set of Insa Turbo Rangers to arrive. They were supposed to be here today, next day delivery! I suspect the courier couldn't get here through the snow. The reviews I've read on Insa are all pretty good. They're supposed to be a totally different league to the likes of kingpin...

    No problem (in my dreams)

what about this as a replacement bat

My battery was on its way out, had trouble starting at the weekend. Quick online search and £90 delivered seemed very reasonable. However I didn't order it. In the end I called into Selectatyre (used them loads of the years for tyres & brakes - nice guys, good service - I recommend them). They...

cant getmy terrano into 4wd thick as ?"!k, please help?

If it was me, I'd take it out again - without my mates watching & probably not wearing shorts! Engage 4wdh drive forwards a bit, back to 2wd & reverse a few metres. Repeat several times. It might be that the mechanism is sticking, particularly if you've not used it for a while. If 4wd engages...

cant getmy terrano into 4wd thick as ?"!k, please help?

Did the 4wd icon light up on your dash? & stay on? You'll probably have to remove the hub centre cap/trim on the wheel to look. Simple pull off, push on. I don't actually think mine say automatic or anything else on them. It does sound like the hubs aren't engaging from what you've said.

    (Winter) emergency kit

Thank you all! My bag is getting ever larger & I may now need an emergency trailer or roofbox! The vacuum JML bags sound like a great idea. Keep the suggestions coming...

    (Winter) emergency kit

Sun glasses in both cars already. I agree about folding v proper spades - however this is for my 'all in one bag', 'throw into any vehicle' kit. It's already quite a big bag!

    (Winter) emergency kit

So what do you carry, if anything? I travel a lot and given recent conditions I'm putting my emergency bag together for the winter. Ideally one big bag, I can easily throw in the back of the Terrano, or Merc or whatever else I might be travelling in. I'm also thinking I need to keep my wife &...

    TYRES

Kingpin are dead cheap and seem to have a poor reputation, according to all the googling I've done. Whereas very few people had a bad word for Insa turbo tyres. I ordered online first from 4x4tyres - who then called to say they had no stock; then online from Camskill - who then called to say...
