Yeah am very lucky to live down this way, been all those places, not very many green lanes though but se beautiful places to visit.

It was way past the empty position, was just hanging straight down like a loose hand of an old clock and yeah I sort of worked out there must be an electrical fault in a component or wiring problem somewhere along the system.

Cheers Darryl, Guess we'll have to live with it. Might clean all the electrical contacts and see if that helps....

I got the Sachs ones from Eurocarparts as they were on offer at the time. I don't have an issue with them at all.

Mate had a 2.4 Surf and apart from cooling issues, new rad, water pump, upgraded head etc and jut over £1200 later.... It was a great car :) they are very comfortable and I was very tempted to get one as they are cheap at the moment. Maybe cheap for a reason?
