Another 10% off, on Boost valve DIY kits

i think they fit in the wastegate pipe (the little pipe that comes off the intake side of the turbo). basically from understanding, and for those you dont know, the wastegate 'bleeds' excess boost from the turbo to protect the engine. usually though, it bleeds too much, and hence makes the turbo...

    NE1 fitted elec fans?

thats one of the reasons for fitting one. the other three are that electrics have a far better cooling rate, they only turn one when there needed (ties in a bit with the fuel saving part) and if youre anything like me, if you drive through deep water, you can turn them off. i fitted one to my...

    NE1 fitted elec fans?

youre just in time, im about to buy a pair of 9" spal fans from ebay, link. i know there a tad expensive, but they are a reputable make. i did look at twin fans from a v8 disco, but you know what the build quality of lr's are like  dont want to drag my perfectly good car down  as...

'Click' 'Click' on trying to start

Update i checked the battery terminals the other day again, and they all seem ok, but as a measure i gave them a good 'wiggle' and sprayed them with some wd40 to clean any dirt off away. the problem still persisted so i decided to remove the ignition switch and mis-mantle it. here is some...

'Click' 'Click' on trying to start

i had this problem for the last few weeks and its gradually getting worse. im sure you heard it before, i turn the key to start and all i hear is the solenoid (i think) clicking but it doesnt start. ive read back quite some posts, and from them i have put it down to these to things: Battery...

    Asfir underbody bash/skid plate (pics)

when i was at the 4x4 show the other day, i saw the terrano parked out front of the entrance. after reading the spec, i saw that it had an Asfir underbody bash plate fitted, as sold by TBR UK. so as you do, i thought i would take a look at it, to see what it was like. i also got some pictures...

    K&N air filter

thats partly what im saying. if two filters have the same surface area, only one is more restrictive then the other, the more restrictive one is going to be exerting more 'resistance' on the air flowing through it then the other. for the sake of argument, filter B is twice as restrictive as...

    Fitting Intercooler to a 1996 2.7TD

im not sure whether you will need the ecu remapping as it might not be use to an intercooler being fitted, but i could be wrong

    K&N air filter

the k&n was a replacement panel filter, so it had the same surface area as a standard filter. the micra was also only a 1litre, so the difference was more noticeable. your gv has a lot larger engine and its a 4x4, so the bottom end torque would be far greater. i think there is a lot of hype...

    K&N air filter

oh cool, didnt realised they did a 57 kit for the terrano/mav. thanx guys for pointing it out

    K&N air filter

im a bit skeptical about these air filters. i a k&n fitted to my micra, and it made the acceleration slower, thats mainly because they filter the air better, which obviously creates more resistance. the good thing about them though, is like i said they do filter the air better, which should...

    Donnington gang

i didnt notice whether you had a heavy duty rear bumper, but if you hvent, you could do what that pajero at the end had done: heavy duty bumper with twin tyre carriers. you could then run two bars along the sides of your patrol and then down onto the tree sliders like the front, i know that what...

    Donnington gang

i was near the exhaust on the chevy when he started up after lunch time, i watched as everyone backed up when he revved the engine  . actually i think i missed the long way down patrol knowing me i probably walked past it loads of times  i also didnt see the hilux's used in the top...

    Nissan Supercharger

i thought it was a fixed thingy like a hyclone, plus if it is electric, why would you need one anyway, thats what the turbos for!! i only reason i could see for getting one is if you were taking your cars to altitudes, then and only then i think they might benifit your car by 'pre-boosting' the...
