Thanks Briggie - assume the same side as engine tube - inlet, not exhaust? It's an oldie... Generally leave the trans in middle setting - get the 'Power' light on occasionally but maybe just need to be a bit gentle with the kickdown. Flicking the Overdrive off seems to drop it down into third...

Hi All, I think I've already found the answer to one of my questions; 1995 Mistral TD27 - assume the TD3 engine. Fires fine from cold, then shortly later coughs, splutters, white smoke, dies or can just-about keep going. If I leave it running for a while before using, seems to be OK. Threads...

Morning all, Just bought a '95 Mistral imported from Japan in 2004. Been stood for a while (that ol' chestnut) so not venturing far from home at the moment. Seems pretty competent though - and soooooo much tidier than the Land Rover Discovery of the same year it replaces... Loads of noob...
