Before you start farting about with cleaning the MAF first step is to simply unplug it and go for a spin. If the car is driving just the same with no go, and wont rev freely then take it out and clean it carefully! :thumb2

If your seats aint ripped to shreads and just look a bit tatty I'd say the easiest thing would be to give them a good shampoo - or book it in somewhere and let someone do it for you! :D

How much weight are you towing??? Is the car fine otherwise? When you say overheating do you mean sat at side of road with steam coming out of the bonnet, or just your temp gauge rising? :nenau
