mine is an aluminium one.. I'm quite sure the cause of the leak is tha i'm a moron! i forgot to order the new gasket with the new stat, and i used a liquid sealant for flanges. i'll buy the gasket or use a liquid gasket and i'll try again. yesterday i was too nervous to think!

wow, your MOT is quite a complete check! when do you have to take it? in Italy you need to check your vehicle four years after production and then every two years. But they just check all lights and horns, brakes, tires and exhaust gas. in 10-15 minutes more or less you're done!
