Would the sluggish issue be due to a turbo problem? Check any pipes for splits. Heck I'm no expert but its worth a try.

I'm not sure if this is of help, but on my wife's old Nissan Serena 2.3 D when you started it from cold the solonoid would click like mad until the glow plugs were up to temp. at first it drove me mad but I got use to it. The garage said there was nothing that could be done and not to worry...

Agreed, my mate did some deep wather wading in his landie. Snorkel fitted so it went fine, but when the wather came through the dash, it was never the same again.

General grabber AT2's are great... But I will be putting some Colway AT's on mine soon. Yes they are remolds but I have never had a problem with them in the past and they are great off road. Also good on road. My mate has them on his jeep and has never had a problem with them.

Thats one drive I would lvbe to do.
