Once I got my head round it, it was not too bad to fit. Just careful measurement, drilling into the roof rack and bolting it all together. Probably took longer than it should but got there with it.

Whether this turns out a good choice or not, we will see, but I bought a cheap awning, this opens out 270 degrees so covers the side and back in one go. It will do for now anyway for my trip.

Fitted my traction boards that I had for a couple of years sitting in the shed. Fitted them on the roof rack but not entirely sure they are right where they are, but fine for now, they dont seem to create any wind noise that I can hear.

I've put the shovel back on the back a bit more permanently and as you can see, I've also fitted new mud guards. I was never happy with the black rubber ones the had curled up. They are a now distinct blue.

Now the disappointing bit. I measured these up perfectly, but when in they are squint :( The top bit which I didn't do is obviously slightly on the piss which makes my drawers look like they don't line up :doh Nothing I can do about that now, they are what they are. Oh well.

With the rubber matting in so things wont slide about.

I then spray painted them black and put rubber matting on the bottom which isn't in this picture ready to go in the truck.

Thanks Jim :thumb2 I wrapped them in PTFE on the bottom so that they slide on the boot floor carpet

One more all clamped in position to hold as the glue sets. Normal room temp you really want a good 12 hours so left over night

Screws by themselves obviously wont be strong enough so I also glued them together. This glue holds F1 cars together so these with the screws and glue are now super strong.

Screwed all together after getting them all cut to the right sizes and creating the handle space
