    impressed a Landy owner today

I took it easy, made sure not to slip the wheels, and engaged low range before it was needed ;)

    impressed a Landy owner today

I was invited to a woodcock shoot (rough shooting) today. Beech forest, lots of mud, very hilly. Impressed the owner of the shoot, driving a lifted Defender on mud tyres, on the places and hills my trusted T2 got to - on Toyo AT tyres :)

    British Weather!

.308 here, and probably next year something heavier, as .308 is considered the lower limit for use on wild boar overhere :) But that is of course on much closer distances.

Not really my kind of dog breed, but pups are always fun :) Congratulations!

    British Weather!

800+ yards with a 223, nice :) As said, no possibilities for proper long range shooting here in Belgium. Although I hope to visit the long range in France or Holland some time next year.

    British Weather!

Nice setup! If I may ask, what distances where you shooting, and with which gun/scope/ammo? Unfortunately, civilians over here in Kafka country are limited to 100m ranges. Hardly long-distance...

Our home wrecked by one firework on Saturday.

Very sorry to hear that! My grandmother's house was destroyed in a fire a few years ago, I've seen the damage it can do to property and to peace of mind! Any ideas on who was using the fireworks?

    An Exhaust Supplied by Milners

I had similar problems with a swb exhaust, after 1,5 years. Occasional use, on- and offroad, and often standing still for days. Called them about this, on their request sent email with pictures, and same day got offer to replace the faulty part of the exhaust (was mid-section only, rest was...

    exhaust downpipe

For what it is worth: had no problems at all with sheared studs on my T2 when replacing the downpipe. Soaked repeatedly in penetrating oil over a few days, and made sure to clean up any exposed thread above the nut before spraying the oil and trying to unbolt. Difficult and fiddly access though.

    wanted: Nissan Terrano

As of 2019 I'll not be able anymore to use it to go to work - Brussels will become low emission zone as of Jan 1st, 2018. Same as just about every other large city in Flanders. And since it is de facto our 2nd car, and not only used on my shoot, sadly I'll have to say goodbye and switch it for...

MAF amp for sale - unused

MAF amp for sale - unused

Acquired a MAF amp thing from Ray here on the forum in 2015. But due to expected trouble with Belgian MOT I never got around to fitting it. So, since I did not use it for 2 years and since the T2 will have to go next year, I have for sale an unused maf amp including the documentation and a...

Maverick 2.7 TD SWB Towing Capacity

Exact same setup as mine, TDI. Things to do/check, probably already mentioned in other posts: clean the MAF (if it is Hitachi), clean the intercooler, replace the rubber hoses connecting intercooler to engine, check turbo rubber hose, check fuel injection, remove fuel pump mini filter, get rid...

    Mistral Front Lower Ball Joint.

Don't forget to order the bolts as well if you replace the ball joint again - they will invariably shear off while trying to remove them. Makes sense as well to do both top and bottom at the same time.

    Has Everyone Left

Still here, reading along. T2 passed MOT, got treated to two new front tyres for the upcoming shooting season. And, last Friday and Sunday, Sanicole airshow. Next weekend short trip to Italy, and the weekend after that probably still busy sorting through the pictures I took during the airshow :)

steering idler arm - grease nipple?

No idea about the thread size, but so far all the grease nipples on the steering system (idler, track rods, relay rod) have been the same size on my T2. About the only times one needs a 7mm spanner on the car :)

steering idler arm - grease nipple?

replacement idler arm, connecting rod and track rods went on without any problem. Tomorrow first having the alignment and tracking checked, then MOT - and then we're ready for the mud during the shooting season :)

steering idler arm - grease nipple?

Just replaced the old steering idler arm on my T2. Pretty sure that was a genuine factory-installed part. Cleaned it up, and noticed that instead of a grease nipple it had a normal small bolt in the nipple hole. Perfect penny-pinching by Nissan? Or would a garage mechanic have removed it and...
