    lesson learned on this one. :rolleyes: I would like to get the maf to be where it were before I killed it before I get one of rayf amplifiers. I dont want it to boost a poor maf to standard I want more. lol

    Ok, Original MAF has no change in the output from Idle to 3000rpm. It hovers constantly around 0.5~0.6 V. I think I killed it. Unless the Carb cleaner has knackered it.... I got this Comma carb clean http://www.uk.commaoil.com/productsguide/view/6/281 I also sprayed the plug with it.

    I'll buy a multimeter and test em both. Rayf has given me the output voltages at Idle 1.8~2.0 V and 4.5 V @ 3000rpm.

    I've fitted the new MAF and it is better but not quite right. I can get up my hill now and drive fairly normal, but there is a flat spot around 2000rpm. And there is still no noticeable difference between MAF plugged in or unplugged on tickover.

    a plate you say.. I did see a plate as well as 2 prongs that both got squirted with carb cleaner. Then I put a new clean microfibre cloth on the end of a small screwdriver and wiped what I could get at. But the screwdriver had pushed through the cloth so I may have damaged the plate. Would a...

    Usually unplugging a MAF will make the engine run rough, correct? Mine does nothing.
