    Coronovirus and lockdown

That's a good idea Rick ! Just wish I could drink more than the 9-14 units a week I have had to limit myself to on advice from HFC Nurse. I'll toast to that with an Alcohol Free Beer !

    Coronovirus and lockdown

Do all views carry equal weight even when lacking evidence ? Reading this thread it brings us back to the difference between views that are held by different people. I am currently reading a psychology book by Jordan Peterson - in the section about arguments with someone he states the...

    Coronovirus and lockdown

At least the government is doing positive things. I think you are missing the sheer magnitude / scale of what is required to help people there will always be people who slip through the systems that have to be robust enough to reduce the fraud that will definitely happen. Its easy to sit back...

    Coronovirus and lockdown

It's basic Virus Pathways that are well understood. I beg to differ like many viruses it is caught by being in close proximity to people who are infected and at the infectious stage of the disease. It's not from drinking contaminated water, being bitten by an insect, by 5G it's as above. Our...

    Coronovirus and lockdown

Big difference in my area. Well here where I live the first obvious change is the traffic it's almost zero compared to normal. When I take Wendy to work at the Surgery a distance of about two miles there would be a queue about 500-800 yards long to the first roundabout on Pastures Hill- it's...

    Coronovirus and lockdown

Age demographics in Brazil are much younger population. Trouble is will there be genuine figures published ? I see China has just admitted to an additional 1500 deaths - I think that's the tip of their Iceberg tbh.

    Coronovirus and lockdown

Another 3 weeks that takes us to the 7th May then. Message within the NHS seems to be that the peak deaths are at least a week away.

    Coronovirus and lockdown

Thats a big question Rick. My understanding is that the lock down was to stop the NHS being overwhelmed with Covid19 patients who would need a respirator. The aim was to make the numbers seriously ill able to get a bed in intensive care. It was never about reducing the overall numbers who...

I've given in to the dark side

Back up Pedals ? Be interesting to find out why it's not running - hope its economically fixable if the electric motor has packed up. Is that rewinders still in business on the A61 as you enter Alfreton near Gooker Lane or has it long gone ? Might be something simple like wiring / switching...

Neat looking SWB Mitsubishi Shogun / Pajero Nice looking motor only part of the specification I am not keen on is the Zenon headlights but brilliant otherwise. That said they are cheaper to replace than most factory LED headlamps I know on Mercedes the Bi-Zenons are great until you have a bulb...

I friend of ours in New York (sorry for the name dropping) picked us up from our Hotel in his Wrangler Open Top - the hood was a bit like a Mini Moke or a Morgan. lol Oh yes it was a Petrol model straight 6 methinks it was well old when we were in NY in 2003 !

    Idea for a subforum?

Sounds like a good idea. Would it be as simple as renaming an existing category that has low use or combining it with the same ?

Oh no not another problem Jeep GC WK 2.7 CRD !

They are over 2 Tons but it was the back wheel, given the lock down not had time to re-test at the required speed. When the Jeep was in the garage last week I did ask them to grease all the suspension & drive shaft nipples.
