    Ongoing work on the Trol.

They are good but not cheap, for the stub axles they were £40 each and will still need machining to size when fitted. I've yet to overcome the grooved driveshaft problem but I will. Andy

    Ongoing work on the Trol.

Been shopping today. Wheel bearings, grease, Speedi Sleeves For the stub axles. Ran a blank on the Speedi sleeves for the drive shafts and the inner axle oil seals. one thing I did notice though is that the swivel bearings are the same as a Landcruiser 80 series and I had some of those in...

Another joke to brighten a miserable day.

"have you seen a twenty pound note all crumpled up?" A woman asked her husband. "No he replied. She gave him a sexy little smile, unbuttoned the top three buttons of her blouse and slowly reached down into the cleavage created by a soft silky push up bra and pulled out a crumpled twenty...

Right, back to the Trol and the remedial work to get it as I want it. When I first got it I thought" off roader play truck" but having had a good look at it I think it has potential to be a good road truck as well. Its only done 86k miles and the bodywork id pretty straight so I think it...

Hi yes it's a 94, I'll PM you for details. Well this freezing morning back out to the Trol. 1st job I think is to remove the tow bar I don't need and think about building a bumper for the rear in the absence of an original one. Next job along the line are the weeping swivel seals. one...

    Ongoing work on the Trol.

Following my previous thread on the purchase of my SWB 60 Trol I have now started remedial work regarding getting it roadworthy. Firstly, I had to overcome a starter problem, sometimes it would spin and start, sometimes just click so I removed it and took it to bits, it was full of dried mud...

Well I will have to see what ratios are in the truck. I can't ask my mate who built it what he did but I suspect he didn't re gear it. I take it they are 9" ring gears on these axles?. I don't intend to throw a ton of money at this so I may go down the route of s/h diffs of 4.6 ratio. Besides I...

In fairness I have been after this Trol since May. It belonged to a friend who unfortunatly passed away and was subject to probate and eventually released to be sold by the trust with all interested parties invited to bid by sealed bids. Mine was obviously the highest and the one which was...
