    The clutch i have has done less than 10k but i may in future, does it take any mods to fit one?

    I firmly believe that if you have a good pump/viscous coupling and good coolant the original fan is more than god enough under any circumstances. If anything it is the clutch that needs help for really heavy work!

    they aren't fully on all the time, or at least they shouldn't be. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_clutch the difference on on/off was noticeable after the pump change on my TD especially when towing, and the temp was a little lower :thumb2

    I have never had temperature problems towing with a T2 on the original fan, and TTT2 has seen the sort of things I tow! I tow right up to the max 2800k and have been know to go a little more on the odd occasion :thumb2 I do remember fitting a new water pump on one TD years ago and the...

    it's the only real way to test a battery! I have had them where the green indicator stays on and they pass a 'drop test' leave them overnight and the voltage drops :nenau
