    Help - smokin!

Thanks again, I suspect plugs, the smoke is mostly white with a possible bluish tint. But diesel is oily and the smoke was fogging one of our other cars which is dark blue.

    Help - smokin!

HELP! 'tis not very often I ask technical advice but here goes. When my old banger (T2 2004 bosh electrics) is standing, out of gear or in gear with foot on clutch) it is very lumpy to rev and blows clouds of bluish smoke. When driving the smoke appears to have gone, it is not hard to start and...

    Towing capacity.

I've towed some silly weights with a T2, right up to the 2800k legal max regularly, and as much as 4500k on odd occasions, to be honest in think, as Rick said, 2500k is enough! More than that is too much for the clutch and the body weight. The usual way to tell with any car it to subtract gross...

    Noisy front end?

Sounds a bit VW to me. Anyway, I know Ford ranger / Mazda trucks make a front end squeal and bearing grinding noise, it is the belts, I usualy to some water over them with the engine running and it goes for a while - it comes back, but it proves it's the belts!

    Heavy steering

It's been a long time since I've owned a TD, this used to be considered a common fault, I was told to try a dollop of molyslip auto gearbox treatment in the steering fluid and it worked a treat, I don't know if anyone else remembers the molyslip man being involved with the club?

In that case, you have nothing to lose by asking them! But I don't think there is any more we can add to this debate now! :nenau

merry xmas and help needed on clutch

As far as I know they are all solid flywheels, Milner off road has lists of parts for T2s that should tell you all you need to know :-) http://www.milneroffroad.com/nissan

Friends of Nissan 4x4, should it be a fiver again?

Briggie, is a fine example, he gives more than he takes, it would be a pity to lose him, and we lost Ryan, and Willow, could we have a few free memberships for Christmas presssies and invite them back?

merry xmas and help needed on clutch

I had very similar issues with my last one, and checked everything, the revs test said it was fine. In the end we stripped the clutch out and it was worn down to the rivets, simple as that :thumb2
