    Clutch slave cylinder

Well, I'm wondering if I have the right gearbox. :-o Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Clutch slave cylinder

Well, I've actually done my first job on the truck... and its thrown up yet more questions. Changing the gearbox oil was the job. The drain plug and filler plug were not hex heads but like giant grub screws with a square 1/2" drive. My wrench fitted it perfectly. Placed an old oil can with the...

That just makes me worry that I can pump it now before even starting the job.:-o Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

The fuel hose has finally turned up. Before I start I want to know how the hand pump on the fuel filter works to prime it. Is this round disk it? Only has about half an inch vertical travel down. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

Ah yes, that flexi hose. Forgot about that badger. Any way to tell if it's causing problems or do you just replace it and if things improve it was? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Clutch slave cylinder

Well I have the oil sat on the table in the utility room. Will get that in first and report back. Have bought Comma. I assume that's well regarded? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

    Clutch slave cylinder

'lo, Getting first is becoming almost impossible and some of the others are not so easy. Looking to change the slave as a first stab. Any links to trusted suppliers / units? Can see plenty on EBay but I'm guessing not all units are the same. Local motor factors was a little shy of 50 quid...

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

I know. Once they were turning I thought I was there. I now reckon the blue on the screws wasn't thread lock but body paint. Explains why it was so tough I guess. Motor factors didn't call today to say the fuel line is in. Will chase 'em tomorrow. Might change the diff oil as a warm up.

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

Wish I could. They both snapped of while unscrewing. They'd done a few good revolutions so nothing proud on the underside. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

Wish I'd ground them all off. Two sheared off flush while the one I ground off was then easily removed with mole grips. Slightly unnerved by the the rusty state of the feed pipe from the tank. Anyhoo, 8 and 10 mm. Onto the local motor factors tomorrow. I like Rick's silicone sealant idea.

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

After reading the previous fuel pipe replacement threads on the forum, tonight I decided to whip the plate off above the tank and measure the pipes to make sure I got the right sizes. Should be a simple quick job. Nope. First screw came undone okay, second rounded off, third started before...

    Wheel balance

Apologies for resurrecting this thread from the dead but just to say tyres were the cause of the juddering. Had all four replaced with Cooper Discoverer AT3s and the old girl is a joy to drive. Quite why it took me so long is to my shame.

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

Hi Ian, I'm hoping it's steel as if not, something else is rotting at speed. Will see in time. One last question, how much of the 5m of each length do you have left? I was planning on copper and then mentally ran through the hassle of feeding it through, getting it straight, etc and decided...

    Diesel leak. Boohoo.

Interesting that you say copper because when I quickly looked at mine I'll swear it was caked in rust. Was assuming a steel line. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

Ian, How long did it take you to replace the fuel line? Spotted identical damp patch with associated smell. A few drips on the drive too. So, I'm going to have to get stuck in. I'll double or treble the time for my estimate.

    Radio fascia

Are you going back to an original Nissan radio? Anyhoo, here's a couple of photos of the head unit from mine. Came with the truck like this. Has a single DIN unit like your first photo. Previous owner said the old radio was needed for key programming, etc. Had a long story about the truck not...

Loss of Drive - All Gears - Terrano 2

Another Google and you can find tilt and slide lorries you can hire and drive yourself. Would cut out paying for the driver's time but no idea on hire cost or a suitable hire company near Bristol.

Loss of Drive - All Gears - Terrano 2

For transporting to Bexhill have you tried www.anyvan.com? Be interesting to know what quotes you'd get back (if any). P.S. Never used the site myself so not a recommendation. Just googled 'car transporting'.

    Wax oil

He he. She wasn't too bad. I remember the first time I changed the oil after I bought her. The oil from the filter had the consistency of water logged compost. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
