Clutch: clevis pin bush and synchromesh

The clutch pedal bracket went midway through my gearbox problems. It broke on the spot welds luckily and a local shop welded it up good and proper for me. The bush is missing (disintegrated when master cylinder was pointlessly replaced by a garage - not the ones that replaced the clutch) and is...

Clutch: clevis pin bush and synchromesh

Hello all again. Just paid up again (my subs ran out in July). Been a bit busy. :augie Anyhoo, thought I'd update you on this long running story as things happened over the summer. My garage diagnosed it as a clutch problem. So new clutch ordered and fitted. Garage said that a "clip" had...

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

Yep. Got a bit braver and found it's clipped in on the left. Found problem number one. The plastic around the clip holding the cable sheath is broken. Will have to see what superglue can do. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

I need to remove the beige plastic from the center console which is stopping the removal of the heater controls. I've found the two screws in the driver's footwell but can anyone tell me how the top of it is fixed to the beige plastic under the steering wheel. I'm sure I can break it apart but I...

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

Looks like the source of one of my problems. Just have to hope nothing is jammed the other end to have caused this. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

So faced with option of plastic Sony radio removal tools from Halfords for £5 of a full set of tools in steel from Amazon for £8 I'm now the proud owner of these. Anyway, radio is out and I know now I could have done it with some home made tools cut out of a milk bottle. Shocked to discover...

That looks like a worthwhile purchase. Cheers.

Hi, Can you link the thread? Or am I being dense and missed it in your post.

The walnut surround and the controls I'm trying to get to and a close up of the radio chassis I think is holding the black plastic facial in. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

Zombie thread, back from the dead. Having driven to Luton and back without the ability to have cool air, it is time for something to be done. :o Anyhoo, am slowly taking bits of the dash out as I head for the heater controls but am now stumped by the 'walnut' trim around the radio. I have it...

    Metro 6r4

Not been to our local rally (the Wyedean) for 2 or 3 years but there was always a few 6R4s running around there. Seems to be more of those still running then the rest of its group B peers. Probably more 6R4s left than original production metros now. They've all dissolved by now. :-D Sent from...

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

My lenses are clear with amber bulbs. So fingers crossed there. For the heater I have the circular knob not the sliders. Sounds a bit of a swine to sort. Thanks for the advice though. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk

Indicator lens and 'climate control knob'.

'lo. 1) My front offside indicator lens has a hole in it. About the size of a petit pois (not as big as an uncouth garden pea). Would this be an MOT failure? 2) Secondly, the knob that changes where the hot air from the heater goes (i.e. face, windscreen, feet - let's call it climate control...

    Remote locking fob

Will do. However, if you've followed my posting history you'll know I have an almost sloth like approach to fixing annoyances. I only get focused on getting the new chip when I'm desperately trying to find the only working key and I'm running late. I get super committed.... and then I find the...

    Remote locking fob

I got a secondhand key on Ebay. That said, I'm not using it yet. The key and truck are synced so the doors unlock. I bought a new key from a local locksmith. A new case on Ebay. Final part is an immobiliser chip, cloned from the one I have. Timpsons do this apparently. My keys are the NATS ones...

    Clutch pedal mechanism

Yeah, cheers for that. Been trying not to think about it as it doesn't help me sleep. :-) In truth I have wondered. The second spot weld was from me 'adjusting' the pedal away from the steering wheel column. That time with my foot. What caused the first to fail, no idea. Only the plastic...

    Clutch pedal mechanism

Well, not often I post with good news, but GOOD NEWS! Didn't start too well this morning when I discovered I've run out of gas for the welder. A couple of phone calls later and a mile bike ride and I'm at a local enginerring shop (which I pass every day and barely notice) with the clutch...
