    Unable to get low ratio

Cheers Rick. Will give it a go. By 'under' I guess you mean crawling around on the driveway and not just gettiing under the gearstick boot.

    Unable to get low ratio

Hi peeps, I noticed the other day that I am unable to get low ratio. 4x4 in high ratio is fine but I just can't get the low ratio lever back. The lever push down works but it seems mecanically blocked from pulling the lever back into low ratio. No amount of dropping the clutch and fiddling with...

    Heater stuck on hot

I found the thread (https://www.nissan4x4ownersclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29723) but can't see the photos I posted. Dunno.

    Heater stuck on hot

Hi, I don't know if I ever posted pics of this here but I had exactly the same problem. In truth, I had both the temperatue and air flow direction controls go at the same time. IIRC, the temperature control was the worst one to fix. In the end, IIRC, I drilled some small holes through the...

    silent

Still here too - but I was only ever an occassional partaker. Saw two other Terranos today in Glos. Got a tentative wave from one. Maybe we need a TV ad.

    Where to buy wheel studs

Hi everyone, been a busy few days. Apologies for not getting back sooner. Well, fingers crossed I've bought the right ones from Milner. They say they are the right ones but given they provide no specs at all, I have to wait and see. They are with the garage. The rear ones are 44mm long (44.3...

    Where to buy wheel studs

Hi all, I'm afraid my woes continue. The studs Banshee sent me turned out to be too short. They were 35mm long when mine are 44. No biggie Zac. Will teach me to measure twice, cut once. Trouble is, the garage can't find replacements (well, Nissan drew a blank). Milner Off Road claim to have...

    Where to buy wheel studs

Due to some extreme muppetry on my part I find myself need to replace all 6 wheel studs on my NSR hub. My local motor factors don't seem to stock anything. I've measure them as 44.5mm long with a 17.5mm 'head'. Bolt diameter is 12mm (seems obvs). I can't see any splines but I guess they are...

    Diesel Bug

Never heard of diesel bug. I'd never heard of diesel runaway before reading about it on this forum. Forewarned is forearmed I suppose.

    She passed

Welding-wise she had the cills done near the rear wheels a year or two back. On about 145k. She has some shedly attributes (dents, leaks) but I see it more as patina. I see a couple of Terranos locally now and again. The Terrano wave seems to be a thing now.

    She passed

My Terrano was licensed to trundle for another 12 months today. Only failed on a fuel line leak which I knew was there and I was asking to be fixed anyway. Not bad given she's 20 this year.

    Front prop shaft UJ

OK. Prop ready to refit. What torque settings are the bolts? I've struggled (failed) to find it in the manual. Also, are you supposed to use new nuts/bolts? In my haste I failed to mark the prop and flanges. I'm guessing/hoping that is more of an issue for the sliding spline.

    Front prop shaft UJ

You've got me curious as to what is on the rear. Is it a spline from the gearbox? Cheers for the good news tho. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk

    Front prop shaft UJ

Hello peeps. Truck passed its MOT in Feb so I'm here for another year. :) Sooooo, been suffering some vibration which, via wheel balancing, turns out to be a UJ on the front prop shaft. Gearbox end. Caught it just about in time. Wouldn't have had many more miles left. Anyhoo, I've taken it...

    Glow Plugs

Thanks both. Something to have a look at on the weekend. Presumably I could check for 12v on the bus bar when the coil light is on and that would pass/fail the relay too.

    Glow Plugs

Last week, in the frost the old girl started second time. Not first. Subsequently, she has been a bit slow to fire first thing in the morning. More cranking than normal. My finger of suspicion is pointing towards glow plugs but I've not looked at anything yet. The coil light operates as normal...
