Swapping Tyres from Pajero to Maverick

You don't need spigot rings on 6 stud 4x4's, they are what is known as studcentric not hubcentric - ie the wheels centre on the 6 studs and are supported by them not by the centre of the wheel like on most cars. Likewise the wheels should be balanced using a 6 stud adaptor. Its not an issue...

    Greenlaning

There aren't very many in Lancs tbh. Kit Brow up near Galgate, Pit Lane out near Baroldswick, Roman Road near Cow Ark, Haylots near Halylots Moor but actually thats tarmaced its just the OS map doesn't show it like it might be, Melling White near Melling, Dandy Birks near Claughton. Probably a...

    Limited Slip Diff oil change

The rear diff oil needs the friction modifiers in to allow the LSD to work properly. You can put the same oil in the front diff but as its 3-5 times as much to buy the LSD oil you may as well use ordinary GL5 Gear oil. Most separate (not in the gearbox) diffs use GL5 oils as they have hypoid...

    Limited Slip Diff oil change

Both. As you say the SAE is how thick, the API sets the performance standard. GL5 oils are specced to take the shearing action associated with hypoid diffs (where the pinion is not cetral on the side of the crownwheel) these are much harder on the oil than conventional oils so for a complete...

    lift up

Spacers are easy to get its the bolts that are the problem with them being fine pitch thread - Iveco 2.8 TD engine head bolts fit if that helps lol.

    Limited Slip Diff oil change

No only do the late ones not have an LSD they have a completely different axle too which as you note takes a lot less oil.

    lift up

As JAR1975 has said I'm out of stock of LWB prings and unless theres a big demand I'm afraid I'm not getting anymore at the moment - so LWB owners if you want some let me know and I'll see what I can do - not sure on price till I come to order but about £90 - depends on steel prices though...

    will 17" alloys fit ???

yeah you'll have to convert to fixed front hub not freewheeling ones so would need the drive flanges off a late model T2.

I went this month but took the rally car not the T2. Wagpab is a regular with his Navara I believe, didn't see him but saw his truck assuming it was his and he's painted it satin black. Certainly looked like it, big lift pitbulls etc

    Yorkshire night meet up

Anyone up for this tonight - I'm thinking of having a run over but am taking the Proton rather than the Terrano. Blue Proton persona 4 door, silver front bumper (just temporary) and black rear boot spoiler - should be pretty unique.

    fuse holders

Cheaper still - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-Brand-New-Clip-Together-Single-Blade-Fuse-Holders-/400136460603?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_WSJL_Wholesale_GL&hash=item5d29fdd93b - you get ten for that price inc P&P and you can do it the way you're asking about as a temp measure then retro fit a proper holder.

    Skid plate bolts

Sound advice - however the bash plate on the Terano II is steel, as is the cross member the bolts go into so copper grease is the stuff to use. There are specific anti sieze/corrosion compounds for use with other metal combinations but for steel/steel and steel/iron copper grease is the stuff...

    Skid plate bolts

Sorry so long getting back. Yes they are M6 - the ones I fitted when I changed them are 20mm long wic I would say are perhaps overly long 16mm (next size down for most suppliers) might be more appropriatte especially if using non stainless ones as mine were hard enough to get out due to crud on...
