    Voltage problems

You wouldn’t have a symptom of under fuelling as more fuel is always supplied to the injection pump than is required, what is not used is returned to the tank. So it is reliant on the flow of oil to cool the block transferring the heat from the block to the oil, but being thermostatically...

    Voltage problems

I don’t think there is a lot wrong with your alternator; if it were over 14.5 volts then it would be worth doing something about it. Is there any way of altering the on off cycle of the heater plug? I still wonder if it’s over working? The engine has no lift pump and relies on a vane pump...

    Diesel Flow?

presure is not an issue pre turbo, you will have to take a few pics of the job when done:naughty

    Auto oil grade????????

Dexron2 or 3 will be ok, I doubt that you will be able to get all 8 ltrs in as a certain percentage will be left in the torque converter and pump etc

    Diesel Flow?

Yes I would say fuel is cut on Bosch system anyway when in gear , clutch up and over a certain rpm, with foot fully off the load pedal. The engine is still turning and under compression regardless of the fuel so engine braking is still present. Its not a case of the engine stopping as in not...

Is it only heated by the plug or does it have a water heater that takes over when the engine warms up?

    Voltage problems

Never really considered this before but, I wonder what the life expectancy of a glow plug left on all the time is? Is it getting to hot not having enough heat transfer to the oil?

    Diesel Flow?

Sorry wasn’t referring to your last post, just referring to the cutting of the fuel on overrun that needs a clutch pedal switch to know when your foot is on the clutch to keep the engine going likewise a neutral switch in the gearbox so it knows when out of gear

    Diesel Flow?

A good reason for having a clutch pedal switch and a neutral switch in the gearbox :thumbs that should already be there if it cuts fuel

    another extreme idea.... steering

Still not sure at what point it is bending but would making on of these http://www.purenissan.com/idler_arm_brace.htm not help. Fitting another steering box seems a little extreme if not overcomplicated.

I paid about £50 for one from Nissan thinking it was something special, took the old one to bits to find its just a 50amp switching relay.

    advice please asap !!!

We purchased a Hitachi 42” LCD, free view, full HD1080p for £480 earlier this year cracking telly and no probs viewing in our front room. I would think being 2 years old it would only be HD ready 720p, if so, may be worth saving a few moor penny’s and buying a new full HD in the sales.

    Glow Plugs / Starting

Your correct it is the ecu that controls glow time, I would check the glow plug relay behind the battery, I know mine had a similar problem some years ago and it was the relay that was faulty, the ecu supply’s an earth connection to the relay to switch it on.
